POLICE STATE BILL ELIMINATES 4TH AMENDMENT SEARCH WARRANT REQUIREMENTS!

Demand a "NO" Vote
On Obama's Police State!

The Senate is debating a bill that will let federal law enforcement agencies snatch up ALL of your online activities without a search warrant... all of your emails, all of your web browsing, all of your ATM and online purchases... EVERYTHING!

Senate Bill 356, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act Amendments, is being called the worst police state measure proposed since internet use became widespread.

Send Personalized Letters to Congress using the form to the right to demand a NO vote on this police state measure!

You can read the ECPA Amendments Act HERE.

If the ECPA Amendments Act becomes law, the FBI will be allowed to access all of your online activity through your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or cable company without a warrant.

The bill also makes it a felony for your ISP to tell you that your records were snatched!

Think of all of the information that federal investigators will be able to compile about you from your online activities.

If you're like most Americans, you research your medical conditions, religious beliefs, hobbies and other private, personal information online.

You might be a firearms enthusiast or you might hold a political opinion you don't want others to know about.

All of that information can be gleaned or assumed by federal agents spying on you with out a warrant.

Why is this important?

Public records are always used against the public if there is a sudden change in government.

91% of the Jews were exterminated in the Netherlands because the Dutch government kept detailed records on everyone's religious beliefs. When the Nazis took over, they found the Dutch record-keeping extremely helpful!

Don't let Congress turn America into a police state! Tell Congress to reject this outrageous online spying bill!

Leviticus 25:10 is stamped on the Liberty Bell in Pennsylvania: "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants."

Without the right to privacy - the right to be secure in your person and papers as stated in the Fourth Amendment - there can be no liberty!

You have no freedom if the government allows searches of all your online information without a warrant. You are simply a target waiting for the government to aim itself at you!

You MUST speak out and demand that Congress protect your right to privacy by rejecting S. 356. Send your Personalized Letters today!

Chuck Grassley

Washington, D.C. 20510

Dear Chairman Grassley:

Members of Congress were outraged two years ago when it was discovered that the CIA was spying on their computers. Therefore I find it extremely ironic and hypocritical that Congress is now debating a bill to let the FBI spy on my computer without a warrant. The amendments to the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) that have been proposed in S. 356 (and HR 283) have been called the worst police state measures proposed by Congress since internet use became widespread.

The ECPA Amendments Act would allow the FBI to snoop on the online activities of millions of Americans without a warrant. This is an amazing breach of the Fourth Amendment! I am sure you are being told that these police state measures will protect us all from terrorism but that is a lie. Public records collection of this nature always ends up being used against the public, which is exactly what the Fourth Amendment is supposed to prevent!

The Netherlands kept public records on the religious beliefs of all of its citizens. That seemed harmless to most people until the day that the Nazis took over. The public records allowed the Nazis to easily track down 140,000 Jews and exterminate them. That is the danger of your careless handling of our precious Fourth Amendment rights.

Your job as an elected Member of Congress is to protect our liberties, not to take them away from us in the name of false security! I demand that you vote NO on the ECPA Amendments Act and I also expect you to urge your colleagues to vote against it. Measures like this are turning America into a police state and that is not something that "we the people" asked for or wanted. Vote NO on S. 356!
