GI Bill Proposal Will Tax Military Servicemembers to Pay Illegal Aliens Welfare!
Speak Out:
Stop Congress From Taxing Military
Paychecks to Benefit Illegals!

Congress is floating a proposal to impose a mandatory $2,400 tax on all military members according to Stars and Stripes.1 The excuse from Congress is that this tax will help prop up the GI Bill which is intended to provide education money after a person leaves the service.

The reality is that the funds generated from a new tax on service members will be used to pay for illegal alien welfare, foreign aid and other taxpayer ripoffs the second that a Democrat sets foot in the White House.

The GI Bill is a worthy program that serves as an incentive for young Americans to volunteer for military service and the GI Bill is especially important at times like this when America is at war.

To tax our service members directly to pay for their own GI Bill benefits is an insult!

It is doubly insulting for Congress to claim that it is "having trouble" funding the GI Bill when Congress is doing nothing to cut wasteful spending elsewhere.

This tax on service members' paychecks is expected to generate $330 million per year. Congress could easily make that money up if it would stop throwing our money away on illegal alien welfare and tax refunds, foreign aid and other ripoffs.

The truth is that more than half of all illegal alien households in America are on direct welfare assistance for cash, food, housing and medical care, not to mention the funds that they drain from the education system by forcing school districts to hire foreign language translators.2

As soon as another Democrat like Obama sets foot in the White House, the funds stolen from our military members will be used to pay illegal aliens more welfare.

For example, the IRS paid $14.2 billion in unlawful tax refunds to illegal aliens in 2012.3 This happens every year because Congress will not make the simple change of requiring a social security number in order to receive a tax refund.

In addition, the federal government will throw away $42 billion in foreign aid to countries that hate America in FY 20174 and we will pay 75% of NATO's defense budget this year to the tune of almost $600 billion.5

Congress will not take up a serious discussion of trimming the budget or restricting welfare payments to foreigners... but the Members want to impose a direct tax on the paycheck of every service member to fund the GI Bill? We say: NO!

Romans 4:4 states, "Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt." If a person works, their paycheck is not a GIFT but rather money that is owed in exchange for their work.

Military members are owed those GI Bill funds from America because they are volunteering to step into harm's way to defend the rest of us. Taxing the military while continuing to give welfare to illegal aliens is an insult and it is stealing directly from service members' wallets!

Tell Congress you oppose the proposal to tax military members' paychecks to fund the GI Bill.

Dear Chairman Roe:

I am furious that Congress is considering a tax on military members' paychecks to pay for their own GI Bill benefits. The GI Bill is intended as an incentive for military service, especially during wartime. The unique sacrifices that our military members make for this country should be an incentive for you to find a different way to pay for the GI Bill. As long as Congress is unwilling to stop wasting money on foreigners, you should not even be considering a new tax on service members!

For example, the IRS gives tens of billions of dollars to illegal aliens in tax refunds every single year. YOU could have changed this by requiring a social security number to obtain a tax refund. You are also slated to give $42 billion to countries that hate us in FY 2017 through foreign aid. The United States will pay almost $600 billion for defense of NATO this year, while NATO member countries in Europe do not pay their fair share. In fact, America is paying almost TWICE its required commitment of NATO funding, almost $300 billion -- which dwarfs the entire annual VA budget which is currently around $180 billion!

Congress needs to stop giving American taxpayer money away to foreign countries and foreign illegal aliens and care about America first. Illegal aliens collect tax refunds while paying no money into the system; military members volunteer to patrol bomb-laden roads in the Middle East. Foreign countries take our tax dollars and burn our flag in the streets; military members sign up to defend that flag. NATO countries don't pay their fair share to defend themselves; our military members volunteer to defend the United States and by extension they are defending NATO countries. Why does Congress care more about foreigners than it does about the men and women who volunteer to protect America?

Imposing a $2,400 tax on military members to fund their own GI Bill benefits is short-sighted and insulting. Those benefits are earned by service members who volunteer to put their lives on the line for the rest of us. I demand that you vote NO on the proposed tax on military paychecks. Stop paying welfare to illegal aliens and every other country on earth before taxing our service members!
