Stop Obama's Labor Union Ambush Rule Against Private Sector Businesses!

Speak Out Today:
Tell Congress To Finally
End Obama's Ambush Rule!

With your help we will succeed in rolling back the Obama-era "Ambush Rule" against American workers and small businesses.

Barack Obama established terrible anti-business and anti-worker private sector labor union rules through the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Obama did this as a favor to repay the Big Labor unions that bankrolled his 2008 campaign.

We are very close to ending the Ambush Rule which I explain fully below. There is a pair of attached bills in the House that mount a two-pronged attack against Obama's Ambush Rule.

Please speak out today!

Tell the House Freedom Caucus to vote in favor of ending Obama's NLRB Ambush Rule which hurts businesses AND workers, only to benefit the Democrat Party.

"I owe these unions," Obama declared in his 2006 book and that sentiment only increased after the SEIU, AFL-CIO and other Big Labor groups poured $400 million into Obama's 2008 campaign.

Obama's payback to Big Labor was the Ambush Rule which was implemented through the NLRB.

Labor unions are allowed under the Ambush Rule to sneak around and organize within a company for weeks or even months and when they do finally announce that there will be a vote on whether to unionize, the company only has 11 days to come up with a counter-offer to respond to its employees.

Next, the Ambush Rule requires the company to turn over ALL private contact data on all workers to the union bosses including home address, email addresses, home phone number, cell phone numbers, work location, work shifts and job classifications. This allows the unions to bully and intimidate dissenting workers until they vote "the right way."

As an example, the Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT was ambushed into unionizing in 2015. The employees held a vote on whether to unionize and the labor union LOST. 85% of the company's employees participated in the vote.1

But then, under Obama's Ambush Rule, the union was able to force a second vote a month later because the company had not been able to compile ALL of the email addresses and cell phone numbers for all employees in just 11 days.

The Danbury employees kept voting until they gave the labor union the result it wanted even though the employer acted in good faith.

The Ambush Rule is designed to allow Big Labor to hold an organizing vote as quickly as possible so it can start siphoning off union dues to pay for the political campaigns of globalist Democrat politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton.

The companion bills that overturn the Ambush Rule are HR 2775, the Employee Privacy Protection Act; and HR 2776, the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act. These bills were both passed 22-16 in the House Education and Workforce Committee and next go to the full House and Senate.

The Employee Privacy Protection Act requires employers to send ONE piece of contact information to the NLR Board (not to Jimmy Hoffa, JR. at the Teamsters or other union bosses) and that piece of contact info is decided on by the worker in writing.

The Workforce Fairness Act amends the rules so that a company has 35 days to respond to unionization vote declaration, instead of the 11 days that Obama imposed on the private sector.

Leviticus 19:13 says, "'You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired man are not to remain with you all night until morning."

We support private sector labor unions and the workers, but Obama's Ambush Rule perverts the process. It hurts workers and employers, and only Big Labor benefits from the corrupt Ambush Rule.

Tell Congress to overturn the Ambush Rule by voting in favor of HR 2775 and 2776! Let the Freedom Caucus know that patriotic Americans support these bills today!

Dear Chairman Meadows:

Congress has a chance to undo a grievous wrong that the Obama administration has committed against private sector businesses and workers. You will soon get the opportunity to vote on a package of bills that will overturn the so-called Ambush Rule which was imposed by Obama's appointees at the National Labor Relations Board. I hope that I can convince you to overturn the Ambush Rule.

Under the Ambush Rule, a labor union is allowed to sneak around and organize workers in secret for weeks or even months without telling company ownership that this is taking place. When a vote over whether to unionize is finally announce, the company has just 11 days to respond to the ambush and to try to talk its employees out of it. The 1-percenter Big Labor bosses get an unlimited amount of time to make their case to the workers, while the mom-and-pop owners of a business get just 11 days. I guess we should expect that type of 'fairness' from the Barack "You didn't build that" Obama administration.

In addition, company owners are required to compile a huge amount of private, personal contact information on every employee and hand that over to the labor union. This information includes the employee's full name, shift times, job classification, home address, home phone number, email address, all cell phone numbers and more. This is a huge privacy breach and given the propensity of some labor unions to bully and intimidate dissenters, it should be a big concern to you.

HR 2775 amends the rule so that the employer can send contact information to the NLRB and NOT to Big Labor. Plus, the employee gets to choose ONE contact method in writing to be provided for unionization contacts, instead of all of the personal information being handed over against their consent. HR 2776 extends the scheduling of a unionization vote from 11 days to a minimum of 35 days. This gives employers at larger companies enough time gather the required information for the NLRB, plus to reach out to their employees with a counter-offer before a vote takes place.

HR 2775 and 2776 are honorable and worthy bills that shed light on a process that Barack Obama made darker and more sinister. The so-called Ambush Rule is bad for private businesses and bad for workers. The only people who benefit from the Ambush Rule are the union bosses and their Democrat Party recipients who siphon off union dues to run their failing campaigns (Hello Elizabeth Warren and Nancy Pelosi!).

I urge you to support and pass these two bills to overturn the so-called Ambush Rule. Please vote YES on HR 2775 and 2776.
