Demand Senate GOP Vote to Invoke
Nuclear Option & Take Care of Business

When President Harry Truman was given the chance to end World War II almost instantly by using the “nuclear option” on Japan, he didn’t hesitate.  He knew it was the right thing to do and he did it.

Republicans in the U.S. Senate have a “nuclear option” of their own that would have ended Democrat obstructionism, kept open the government, fully funded the border wall and ended chain migration.  They must follow Harry Truman’s example and do the right thing for the American people.

Using a nearly 200 year old rule called the “filibuster” requiring 60 votes to pass legislation, Congressional Democrats shut down the government because of their devotion to DACA, the program that protects deportation of over 800,000 illegal aliens in the country. They are refused to vote for a government funding bill that builds the border wall and ends “chain migration”. And even though they are a minority in the Senate, the filibuster anachronism gave the Democrats the power to block this urgently needed legislation.

However the Republican leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, has the same solution available to him that Harry Truman had. He can use what’s commonly called the “nuclear option” and get rid of the filibuster rule with a simple majority of 51 votes in the Senate.  There are currently 51 Republican Senators, with Vice President Mike Pence able to break any tie votes meaning there are in reality 52 Republican votes.

Since the filibuster is a Senate rule and not a law, all McConnell has to do is make a motion to end the filibuster, get it passed and voila – the “nuclear option” will be end the filibuster just as it did the Japanese Empire.  Without the filibuster the Democrats will be powerless to stop legislation that will re-open the government, build the border wall and end chain migration.

You’ll be in very good company demanding that Senate Republicans use the “nuclear option” to end the filibuster rule.  Here’s what President Trump had to say on Sunday: “Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our military and safety at the Border. The Dems just want illegal immigrants to pour into our nation unchecked. If stalemate continues, Republicans should go to 51% (Nuclear Option) and vote on real, long term budget.”

Join us in supporting President Trump. Join us in demanding that Senator McConnell use the “nuclear option.

Our Bible says at Deuteronomy 32:28 “For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them." Surely this verse covers those who fight against defending our sanctified borders, wishing them to be overrun by those of unknowledgeable foreign lands for surely there is no understanding in such people.   Please follow this convincing teaching and send your personalized action letters to Congress and urge them to take the proper action.

INCREASE YOUR IMPACT:  After sending your Confidential Demand letters, contact your Senators directly at 202-224-3121. Tell them to work to end the "filubuster rule".

Richard Shelby
304 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510

Dear Chairman Shelby:

Last year when the Senate voted to do away with the super-majority 60-vote rule to confirm Justice Gorsuch, not much new ground had been broken.

Why?  Because back in 2013 the Democrats did exactly the same thing - over-ruled the 60-vote rule - when it came to getting then President Obama's wishes for office appointment passed in face of strong GOP resistance to the proposed appointee's wild-eyed globalism.

Now, with Democrats realizing that their party will be consigned to the ash heap of history because its brand of socialism has failed miserably in every venue it has been tried (think Venezuela, for instance) they are using the rule to block nationalistic efforts by the GOP.

So, the tables are being turned by the Democrats insistence that millions of illegal aliens be legalized in some way (for example DACA) if the GOP will continue to observe this antiquated rule of legislative protocol.

A simple analysis shows that if the Democrats succeed in blocking responsible immigration procedures, a swing of just four states in 2020 can give whomever the Democrats nominate a gold-plated key to the front door of the White House.

Put on top of the 4-state rule what has happened in Florida.  Some 150,000 largely-Democrats have emigrated to Florida from the failed socialist "state" of Puerto Rico - a land of lush riches and energetic people all of whom have been hogtied by spendthrift conduct by the globalists running Puerto Rico.  Talk about socialism turning an island heaven into a pig stye - look no further than Puerto Rico.  We do not have to go to Venezuela, just look in our own backyard.

So, I urge everyone to argue, lobby, cajole, convince, shout, scream and holler but DO NOT let Senate Leader McConnell forge an alliance with Minority Leader Schumer and then watch our Republic sink

Back in April 2017 after the Gorsuch vote, Mr. McConnell - according to USA Today - stated, "A day after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell invoked the "nuclear option" to end a Democratic filibuster and confirm Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, he sought Friday to reassure both Democrats and Republicans that he opposes any effort to strip the minority party of its power to block legislation from being approved."

McConnell continued: "The core of the Senate is the legislative filibuster," McConnell said. "This notion that this (changing the filibuster rule to confirm Gorsuch) somehow bleeds over into the legislative filibuster is untrue. I'm opposed to it ... I think that's what fundamentally changes the Senate."

So, we have a horribly-entrenched leader who apparently seeks to preserve the past and by doing so imperils the future to an unacceptable degree.

The Senate MUST convince McConnell to abandon a rule made in a previous era, no long workable or even laudable - and thereby save this precious Union from being overrun by rabid socialists fleeing failed "states" like Mexico and Venezuela and then voting as a solid Democrat block turning our Glorious America into replica of the hole they left.
