Pray For US is supporting Grant’s Law, HR 2942, also known as the “Stop Catch and Release Act.” 21-year-old Grant Ronnebeck was working the night shift at a convenience store in Mesa, AZ last January when police say he was viciously gunned down by a Mexican illegal alien for two packs of cigarettes. The man arrested for Grant’s murder is 29-year-old Apolinar Altamirano, a self-admitted member of the Sinaloa drug cartel.
Grant Ronnebeck’s murder did not have to happen. Apolinar Altamirano was arrested on felony burglary charges in 2013 and reports indicate that he also had a prior arrest on an unspecified sex charge. Altamirano was allowed to plead down to a lesser burglary charge and was given two years’ probation. He was allowed to stay in the United States, even though he is a Mexican illegal alien who had been arrested on a felony charge.
Grant Ronnebeck would still be alive today if Altamirano had been deported in 2013. Grant’s death is a terrible tragedy and his courageous family is in our prayers.
HR 2942, Grant’s Law, would ensure that if an illegal alien is arrested on a felony charge, they are detained until their deportation proceedings are processed, rather than turning them back out on the streets. The bill calls for deportation proceedings to be COMPLETED within 90 days, even if the illegal alien is found “not guilty” of the felony charge they are arrested for.
Barack Obama began releasing tens of thousands of illegal alien felons back onto American streets in 2010 and has repeated that act of violence against America every year since then. The results?
According to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), 121 American citizens have been murdered by illegal aliens because of Obama’s “catch and release” policies. That averages out to one American dying at the hands of an illegal alien every 12 days, not counting those who are killed by drunk driving illegal aliens. Obama is destroying America with his open-borders policies and his unwillingness to deport illegal alien criminals.
SAD FACT: Few Americans realize that since Obama has been in office, illegal drug use has surpassed auto accidents to become one of the leading causes of death in our nation. The rampant importation of narcotics is being facilitated by our sanctuary cities and open borders policies that allow the Sinaloa and other Mexican mafia cartels to operate without fear in America and all of our communities are paying the price.
Grant Ronnebeck and 120 other American citizens have paid the ultimate price for the amnesty-at-all-costs policies of Obama, the Democrat Party, Washington, D.C.’s RINO establishment and the wealthy Wall Streeters who want to have cheap imported labor.
This has to stop!
