A new study issued by the U.S. Military Academy claims that American Christians are terrorists. Also identified as terrorists in this study are individuals who identify as pro-life, those who support limited government and lower taxes, those who are opposed to the New World Order and people who are just simply conservatives. Pray for US believes that the most chilling aspect of the study is the fact that its principal author, Arie Perliger, is an assistant professor at West Point; he’s one of the individuals training our future U.S. Army officers and he is teaching them that American citizens are the enemy.
The study is titled, “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.” You can read the full pdf version of this 148-page study here.
Perliger is crafty in the construction of his argument. He begins by identifying the “far right” as lunatics such as Timothy McVeigh and groups such as the Ku Klux Klan (do they even exist anymore?).
But then within the body of the study, Perliger’s intent is more clearly outlined. He identifies fundamentalist terrorists as Christian Identity groups (a tiny fringe theological group which incorrectly interprets Scripture through a white supremacy worldview), but then lumps pro-life Christians in with them.
Perliger identifies Christians who believe that abortion is “a new Holocaust” as a major terrorist threat.
Here is how Perliger describes the “terrorists” in America known as pro-life Christians, on pages 38-39 of the study:
“Pro-life violence is driven by several ideological building blocks that are enhanced by religious-based convictions, i.e., fetuses are human beings created in God’s image, and as such should be accorded the rights of humans from the moment of conception; any violent acts to end their lives are immoral and should be prevented. Prevention includes damaging the physical tools of the crime, as well as shaping a moral and political environment which will convince people of the immorality of the abortion industry and deter people from becoming part of it.”
That is the definition of a terrorist, according an assistant professor at the U.S. Military Academy. Simply wanting to “shape the moral and political environment” which will convince people that the abortion industry is evil is apparently a grave threat to the powers-that-be.
Arlie Perliger should be fired from his position (but he won’t be). He is currently the Director of Terrorism Studies at the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy. He frequently cites the Southern Poverty Law Center, a known communist propagandizing organization, in the study for his research. He is part of a group of potential traitors that is conditioning and training our military officers to believe that Christians are a terrorist threat to the United States.
Dark times are ahead for faithful Christians as long as individuals like Perliger are teaching our future Army officers to believe that we are the true enemies of freedom. We must offer healing prayers for the sickness in our land, and for God to cast our enemies out of their positions in power.
